lazybones

i've neglected this poor little blog. in reality, i draw almost everyday and am just extremely picky about what i post anywhere. the multitude of my drawings are hidden away in dusty, charcoal covered sketchbooks. here's something slightly old, maybe a few weeks, but that i greatly enjoyed doing. i'll try to upload things more often.

COLD WEATHER SKETCHES

it also makes me look even smaller.

i could not live without my heated blanket, or my tucker

who i would love to dress in little people clothes, but people tell me it's wrong...

year-round, but especially when it starts getting colder, i love dressing like a boy

especially in my favorite newsie hat.

LET THE WILD RUMPUS BEGIN

halloweeeeeen drawing! i realized that it was eerily similar to the one i did last year, so i flipped it around. sneaky photoshoping! i'm way too tired to color it right now even though i want to, so i'll work on that later. the actual size of this is about 3X4 inches cause i draw so friggin small...

anywaaays, it parallels what I and my own wolf-man are being for halloween. Axel is Max from Where the Wild Things Are, and Clouds is Coraline from Coraline (which might be my new favorite movie of the year; previously Wall-e). she even already had the blue hair! she's also showing him how to be a proper wild thing. he, as usual, is perturbed by his mate's oddness. it pleases me that Axel already had a wolf tail + claws so he cut those out of the costume!!

wood-cuts of a dangerous variety

this was from last semester, but i forgot all about it until now! i was part of a group that did some large wooden cut outs for the downtown YMCA and one of the categories was fish for the kid's swimming area or something. i never understood why, but the toddlers/baby area get the really scary pike and my moray eel. i cut this bad boy out of MFB wood with a jigsaw all by my lonesone, then painted it a horrifying blood color to give those kiddies extra swimming nightmares... at least i did try to give him a goofy smile.

harry potters sketchings

i got the half-blood prince on tape and have been listening to it obsessively and at every moment i have the time to. this is what came of it. seriously though- Voldemort is ridiculous and i love drawing him. Hermione and Harry turned out kind of eh, but Ron is exactly how i imagine him.
